Sunset Photography Meetup

Sunset Photography Meetup

Saturday 14 September
Bellbridge - 4pm - 2 Hours
Andrew Osborne
Golden Hour Sunsets are challenging to photograph for the fact that the light changes so quickly and to get the details in the sky you have to under expose, leaving a dark foreground, alternatively you need to expose brighter for the foreground.

This meetup will show you some tips and tricks to getting the perfect sunset photo.
Recommend using a Tripod if you have one.

Bring along a fully charged camera with an empty SD card and a Tripod if you have one. Recommend bringing along a jumper just in case the breeze picks up.

Macro photography is a unique form of photography that involves photographing small objects to make them look life-sized or more significant in the photo. The usual subjects include flowers and small insects, which we don't normally get to see up close with the naked eye.

The class will start when the insects are more active. So be ready to explore and capture breathe-taking macro images.

I really enjoyed the training, Andrew put information in a format that was easy to understand. With the small group, Andrew had time to spend with each of us helping understand our cameras. I feel much more comfortable getting off Auto and onto manual!!!

A trip to the coast in August is always a favourite. No crowds, pure beach experience. Too cold to swim. It was early morning and the high tide had washed away most foot prints in the sand. Taken with NikonD850, tripod used. Some enhancement using Lightroom

On this dewy, fresh morning something compelled me to grab my camera and take a picture as sandhill cranes strolling gracefully through the front yard. Harriet pictured here is, as always, accompanied by Ozzie and their offspring of the season. They have been welcomed morning coffee mates for the last 12 years. The picture captures the calm presence and the dancer's restlessness of these beautiful visitors.

The Great Reno Balloon Race was this weekend. About a dozen balloon are up and aglow before dawn. This beautiful one was my favorite. Most shooting were using auto white balance, cloudy, or 5600K to keep the yellow cast from the flame. I prefer a white balance which retains the true colors of the balloons, especially for this balloon.
